SOVEREIGN HILL CAMP 2023
This is a short little snapshot of our 2023 camp to Sovereign Hill. A great experience for our Grade 3-6’s where they were immersed in life in the 1850’s.
REMOTE LEARNING
This is a video which we have put together to capture a feeling for what remote learning is/was like. This was created in Term Two 2020 before we knew that we would be back into further remote learning in Term Three. We are so proud of our students, parents and teachers for their resilience, positive (bounce back) attitudes and perseverance during this most unusual and challenging of times.
THE POSITIVES OF REMOTE LEARNING
Remote learning was certainly a challenge for everyone, but there have been some very real positives which have come from this experience. We asked our students to reflect on the experience and think about what they now know as a result of this experience.
FAMILY STEM NIGHT
We had a great time exploring and building with planks. All grades were involved in lessons during the day and then we all came together in the evening with families, teachers and students to share the learning and enjoy building structures with planks.
PANTON HILL PRIMARY ON TELEVISION
We are very proud of our vegie patch and it was so exciting to have the television show The Garden Gurus come out to visit, give us some hints and spend some time planting in our patch.
PUB GIG
Many of our students have taken the opportunity to learn instruments (keyboards, guitar, ukelele, violin, vocals) at PHPS through our friends at LPC Music. Some of our students are also part of a band which rehearse after school. A highlight of the music program is when they are given the opportunity to perform to sell out crowds at either the Panton Hill pub or the St Andrews pub.
